Duets Ambassador Programme
The Duets Ambassadors Programme is a direct progression route for the Scholars which follows their 2 year training programme at their school.
The Ambassadors have been committed to the Duets programme for 2 years and this is a clear progression route to develop their leadership skills and dance technique.
With guidance from the Duets Practitioners, the Ambassadors are encourage to support the new Scholars joining the programme. Over time, they have more responsibility and work alongside the practitioners to lead warm-ups and help with creative tasks.
Each week the young dancers record what they have learnt and write down new ideas in their Ballet Cymru notebooks.
In addition, the Ambassadors also receive their own focussed class, which gives them the space and time to develop their technique and choreographic skills.
All the Ambassadors from around Wales come together to participate in unique training events during the year.
There is also the opportunity to ‘signpost’ the Ambassadors on to further training happening across Wales in their local communities and at a national level.
